INTRΣADA, or Intelligent and Narciscious Treasury Recording, Enquiring, and Automating Database Apparatus (or Intelligent Treasury Database for short), is an accounting system designed especially with school groups, church groups, sport groups, and other non-profits in mind (in fact, it was originally designed for the West Jordan High School Choir Department in 2008, and it’s still in use today). It’s released under the GPLv3 licence, meaning that the software is free to use, free to alter, and free to redistribute, which makes it a tasty treat for groups who prefer to use tools that cost the least amount of money as possible. It’s a very handy tool that eliminates the confusion and errors commonly found in group treasuries around the world.

INTRΣADA currently performs the following:

  • Stores personal and contact information for each member of a group
  • Stores financial account information to keep track of each individual member of a group and how much this member owes/has extra for group trips, uniforms, memberships, and whatever other fees are applicable
  • Allows the group treasurer to easily enter these records, manage them, calculate them, perform logistics with them, and create custom reports using the data from these records
  • Alerts by email each individual member his or her current financial status (and other information if so desired) with the click of a button
  • Allows members of the group to log in to an online account to view current account status and complete financial history with the group
  • Allows members of the group to view information regarding the group, its policies, upcoming events, and whatever else is deemed worthy
  • Allows members to update their personal information online as well as contact the treasurer and group leader
  • Streamlines the entire accounting process
  • Reduces (if not eliminates) errors tenfold made by treasurers and accountants in these types of groups

INTRΣADA currently comes in two parts: the online PHP/MySQL web application, and the offline Microsoft Access or OpenOffice.org Base template. The online web app allows group members to view current and complete financial history, and the offline templates allow the treasurer to easily add new records to the account transactions list, change and update member information, and manage the treasury database overall.
